Community Partners

Stratford Richardson YMCA

  • Since 2007, the Stratford Richardson YMCA has impacted the West Corridor communities of Charlotte by becoming a hub of activity through innovative programs that empower and challenge all people to become the best they can be. We serve 1,700 members, 400 program participants and actively extends our reach into the community by way of engaged collaboration with local non-profits, schools, churches and businesses.
  • Here at Stratford Richardson YMCA, we truly have a heart for the community. Our street team knocks on doors, engages in health fairs, and attends community gatherings to share information and invite the community to experience the Y Mission.

The Knothole Foundation

  • The Knothole Foundation mission is to increase access and opportunities for underserved youth through a focus on baseball instruction, academics support and life skills development.
  • Carolinas Metro Reds and UDACF have come together to form Knothole, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, incorporated in the State of North Carolina. These organizations are led by former MLB players, whose love for the game of baseball is exceeded only by their passion for serving Charlotte’s youth.
Partnering to Create a Lasting Legacy.

Knothole is a collaboration of the U Deserve A Chance Foundation (“UDACF”) and the Carolinas Metro Reds (“CMR”), two organizations sharing similar missions of creating opportunities for disadvantaged youth and positively impacting the West Charlotte community.
